Error when importing a fbx file

Greetings,

I've been trying the evaluation version of FaceFX after a clean install of Windows 10 Pro (portuguese version).
Everytime I try to import a fbx file (after dragging it to the FaceFx and choosing the batch export txt), it gives me an error - see attached file.

The fbx file doesn't have any problem, since I asked a friend to try it out. The biggest difference is that he's using an english version of the same OS.

Can you help me with this matter?

Thank you for your time

We haven't seen this before. Did you install FaceFX after Windows 10, or was FaceFX installed prior to a Windows 10 upgrade? I would reinstall FaceFX and make sure you can reproduce.

Do you have python installed?

I had FaceFX installed after upgrading to windows 10. First time it was installed after a win 7 upgrade to win 10, and the second was right now, with a clean install of windows 10. Both had the same result.

I didn't have python installed. I just tried installing version 3.5.1, but still don't have any results.

I'm getting that same output log everytime.

Can you send us the batch export text file you are using?

Sure thing.

Basically, it's your batch file, only with mouth and tongue positions.

I just added it to the original post.

This problem was tracked down to the existence of an accented-a (ã) in the windows username, and therefore the FaceFX user directory.

In FaceFX 2015.2, non-ascii characters in any of the following paths will cause problems:

- FaceFX Installation path
- FaceFX User directory path (which includes windows username)
- Path to the FBX file

As of FaceFX 2015.2, the only workaround is to avoid problematic characters in these paths. We will be looking to improve support for this in the next version.
